Application

N-Methylimidazole Ionic liquid Grade (CAS NO.: 616-47-7) can be mainly used as the imidazolium based ionic liquids.

imidazolium based ionic liquid has following wide application.

a. As electrolytes

For some imidazolium based ionic liquids makes them prominent candidates for electrolytes in batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells, or dye-sensitized solar cells. It also allows electrochemical deposition of metals that are impossible to approach in aqueous solutions and the use of ionic liquids in different sensor systems.

b. As functional fluids and antistaticadditivs. 

The antistatic additives are typically distributed either in the bulk of the material or on the surface, and their role is to make surface more conductive, which helps to avoid surface charge build-up. The antistatic additives can be widely used in the plastic, shoes and other matrials. 

c. As solvents

The imidazolium based ionic liquids have the ability to dissolve various compounds and mixtures, both organic and inorganic.
